The Windows Embedded Student ChallengE (WESC) 2006 is a Microsoft-sponsored event that provides undergraduate development students around the globe an opportunity to create a real-world computer-based solution using a common hardware platform and software tools. The problem is created by the students, and the solution demonstrated through the development of a research paper and working prototype.
This forum/blog site has been dedicated to supporting the students for this event, to answering their questions, and to offering the latest news and updates to students as they progress through the competition.
The Results are In!
On June 22-24, 2006 Microsoft announced the winners of WESC 2006.
More than 360 teams from around the world registered for this year’s competition, whose theme was "Preserving, Protecting and Enhancing the Environment." The top 30 teams were flown to Microsoft’s Redmond campus in June 2006 to present their projects to a panel of Microsoft and industry judges for a chance to win industry recognition and one of five cash prizes.

Thank you to everyone who participated in WESC 2006!
