Hello WESC team members!
We received 185 final reports for the competition. Thank you to those teams who submitted reports! The judges are VERY impressed with the high quality of your submissions.
Judging of the final reports is now being done through May 5. Finalists will be announced by May 14. The top 30 teams will be invited to come to Redmond, WA, on June 23-24 to participate in the ChallengE finals.
Here are some important things to remember while the reports are being judged:
- You are all winners to us because you’ve made it this far in the competition. Great work, teams!
- The final reports are being judged according to the CSIDC's judging criteria.
- While you cannot change your final report, you can continue to work on your project during this timeframe. If you choose to do so, focus your attentions on optimizing and enhancing the performance of your project.
- If your team is selected as a finalist, you will be required to demonstrate your project as described in your final report, so please keep that in mind.
And finally - for those teams outside the U.S., please remember that if you are selected as one of our finalists, you will need a valid passport and a student visa to visit the U.S. We highly recommend that you book your team’s visa consulate appointments early, as the wait time in some cases can be weeks. Visit the http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/ web site for more information.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again for all your hard work, teams, and good luck in this final round of the competition!
