Q. How is the eBox II different than the box we had last year at WESC?

A. The eBox-II hardware is similar to last year with larger IDE bootable storage. This year, eBox-II is equipped with 64MB IDE flash storage comparing to last year's 32MB.

If my memory is correct, Windows CE 4.2 along with Visual Studio .NET 2003 were used for last year. Some teams were using eVC++ to develop native code application, and using VS.NET 2003 to develop managed code application.

This year, we use Windows CE 5.0 along with Visual Studio 2005.

Both native and managed code application development are supported by VS2005.

Documentation and resources for this year's kit are far better than last year.

Files required to be on the device to provide connection to VS2005, via Corecon, are included with the BSP. When "BSP_VS2005_CORECON" environment variable is set to "1" for an OSDesign, all Corecon files will be included with the image.
