Connecting ebox with Activesync - error Posted: Thursday, April 06, 2006 3:52 AM (PST) We have been getting lots of messages on this forum regarding problems with ActiveSync, so I have attempted to reproduce your problem using my own eBox.  Here is what I have found... Though it shouldn't be necessary since it is setup to load automatically by default, be sure to load repllog.exe on the eBox using the steps described here.  Also, be sure that you have installed ActiveSync on your desktop system.  Even after doing so I was still having problems, so I tried using a different null modem cable, other than the one supplied with the eBox.  This made the difference, and I was able to successfully obtain an ActiveSync connection.  I have not yet confirmed this, but I suspect that the null modem cable supplied, is not wired as required by ActiveSync.  I would suggest that you obtain a different null modem cable or make one of your own, and be sure that it uses the pin-outs described here.  Jim
